Face-to-face interaction marks the cornerstone of the unique approach to teamwork that we value. Metaformers' quarterly and yearly events pull us together in person, a rarity in the world of consulting, where project-based work tends to lead to far-flung teammates. Facilitating knowledge transfer through training sessions, member presentations, and team building events happens quarterly. The annual company trip - not to be missed - is equal parts team building, employee skills growth, and socializing. Cruising to the Bahamas, relaxing in the Florida Keys and exploring sunny San Antonio are all themes of past annual trips - need we say more?

Teamwork is serious business at Metaformers, but we try to never take ourselves too seriously. Team events find us dining, playing, creating, and laughing together. A few of our many memorable activities have included a tai-chi workshop, a ghost tour, kickball game and a 2-on-2 basketball challenge, with our president demonstrating that CEO's can, in fact, jump. Fantasy football, book exchanges, and virtual golf leagues are just some of the ways we keep the contact and camaraderie alive between quarterly meetings.

Our spirit of teamwork doesn't just apply to inside the company - we have fun helping others, too. Each year since 2004, a number of Metaformers have participated in the Race for the Cure, a landmark breast cancer walk held in the nation's capital. In addition to giving of our time, Metaformers supports the Make-A-Wish foundation through gift card purchases and golf day activities. In the wake of hurricane Katrina, our team raised money to donate to the Red Cross. Metaformers matched dollar for dollar the generous personal donations of our employees.
