Vote for Metaformers' Three PeopleSoft Presentations for Oracle OpenWorld 2011

Metaformers has proposed three presentations on Oracle Mix for this year's Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco. Voters have until July 19, 2011 to visit the site and vote for the presentations they want to hear at OpenWorld. Check out the abstracts for all three PeopleSoft presentations below and then head to Oracle Mix to vote!
The voting is simple, and anyone can vote. Just complete the sign in or the brief registration for Oracle Mix found on the top of any of the proposal pages, click on the link below to reach the presentation for which you are voting, and click the green "Vote!" button. The button will change to red and you will have done your part to bring Metaformers' presentations to OpenWorld.

Abstract:
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) relies on the PeopleSoft solution for Finance and Procurement and on the Maximo system for Work Orders, Inventory, and for Management of Bus and Rail assets. Integrating PeopleSoft and Maximo is an integration of vastly different business processes creating organizational, cultural, and political barriers in addition to technical barriers. Metaformers was charged with the task of a best practice integration and it was achieved in full partnership with the executive team. This session will layout the best practice approach to the PeopleSoft-Maximo integration taken at WMATA and discuss the challenges faced and solutions applied.

Title: Realizing Metro’s vision through their upgrade to PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1

Abstract:
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) initially implemented PeopleSoft version 8.8 in 2005 to meet ongoing operational needs, but continued to suffer from a lack of integration of their business processes. In 2010, WMATA moved forward with an FSCM upgrade to version 9.1 and the strategic realignment of their business process. Metaformers will present this case study along with WMATA’s Program Manager, Naheed Monower to cover the challenges to achieve a strategic realignment leveraging an upgrade and the critical success factors to achieve an on-target result. Topics for this session include: (1) Project Governance, (2) Assessment and Roadmap (3) Integrated Design, (4) Critical Success Factors for the Upgrade Effort.
