Metaformers Sponsors Team for the Els for Autism 2011 Golf Challenge

Metaformers Inc. is proud to annouce that it will be sponsoring a team for the Els for Autism 2011 Golf Challenge on Monday, August 8th at TPC River's Bend. The Els for Autism Golf Challenge was created by Ernie Els to combat the Autism epidemic that affects 1 in 110 people and their families.The national amateur golf competition challenges each of the teams to raise money for the Els Center of Excellence with the goal that the center will be a model for the world of what should be made available for children on the autism spectrum.

The Els for Autism Foundation was established in 2009 by Ernie and Liezl Els and has since embarked on a catalytic philanthropic project - The Els Center of Excellence. The Foundation has launched a capital campaign to raise $30 million to finance the facility; the Els' have already committed $6 million of their own money. It will focus on a global digital learning platform that will give children on the spectrum around the world access to best practices in education and therapy. It will also help connect the international autism community with best practices and the very latest information and research. This first of its kind Center will also have an on-site education facility, medical and professional services, research and transition to adulthood.
