August 21, 2014
McLean, VA
Metaformers Inc. released the following statement today in response to the settlement among WMATA, the U.S. Department of Justice and Shaqih Khwaja, a former WMATA employee, ending a False Claims Act case pending in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia:
“Based on statements made in documents filed today by the U.S. Justice Department, the investigation of the case revealed no basis on which to pursue any matter as it relates to Metaformers. Metaformers is not a party to the settlement among WMATA, the DOJ and Mr. Khwaja.
“The financial systems upgrade performed by WMATA was a complex, technically difficult project that Metaformers delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-scope with all project deliverables accepted.”
